Society Red

Society Red is a band showcasing the original works of Dexter Gordon. It was conceived in 2025 by long-time friends Gavin Calkins and Jeremy Shaskus, who met in Roosevelt High Schools infamous jazz band in 2005/2006. Comprised of musicians with a diverse background, Society Red aims to bring attention and life to some of Dexter Gordon’s lesser known compositions.
